The Blind Swing

Welcome to the Blind Swing, a murder mystery game set in the 1930's in which you, a detective, must determine who murdered the owner of a roaring jazz club. Your suspects? The five members of the band. Go to the club, interview your suspects, and look for other clues to determine what really happened the night the club owner died. 

We used the extra time to expand on our character development and story (making it more interactive), and getting over the learning curve with RenPy. We were also affected by the power outage and were unable to work on the game for some time, so the extra time gave us an opportunity to make improvements to the art and story as well.
